Lindsay Young is the Community Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Kentville and sits ex-officio on the Board for KBC. A lifelong resident of Kentville, she has a Bachelor’s Degree from Acadia University and a Certificate in Local Government Administration from Dalhousie University. Lindsay has worked in Municipal government with the Town of Kentville for the past 7 years starting out in Recreation in 2008 and moving into Community Economic Development in 2011. Her focus with the Town is ensuring Kentville is “Investment Ready” throughmarketing and promotions, tourism initiatives, and special projects. Key initiatives she has been engaged in have been; A Hotel Feasibility Study for the Town of Kentville, Phase One (1) of a Rebranding Process for the Town of Kentville, support for the revitalization of KDCL and the creation of a marketing and business retention / attraction plan for the Annapolis Valley Industrial Park in Kentville.
Lindsay has volunteered with a number of organizations in the past, currently she is Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival, and Director at Large for the Kentville Farmers Market and Community Garden Society Board. Lindsay also works with Open Arms through the Valley Community Learning Association tutoring participants in reading and writing.
